Football Recap: Conroe Comes Up Short Despite Duntavian Duckett's Big Defensive Game + How To Watch

Conroe lost against Willis back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers lost 31-10 to the Wildkats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Wildkats are ranked 71st).

Even if they lost, Conroe's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Duntavian Duckett was the leader with two. The game marked his first with multiple sacks this season.

Willis was led to victory by Lincoln Frazier and Jamarcus Williams. Frazier threw for 322 yards and two TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, while Williams gained 132 total yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 57 yards. Jaivion Martin also helped out as he racked up 132 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Conroe and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Willis, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
