Football Recap: Ayden Green Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Wayne County

Stone won the last time they faced Wayne County and things went their way on Friday too. The Tomcats came out on top against the War Eagles by a score of 30-21. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tomcats.

Stone's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ayden Green, who rushed for 135 yards and one score. Green's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 107 rushing yards. Jayden Collins got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stone was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 178 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Stone, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Collins, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

The victory got Stone back to even at 3-3. As for Wayne County, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
