Norwell is a perfect 10-0 against Bluffton since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will take on the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Norwell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
Norwell took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Huntington North by a score of 12-9.

Kara Brown was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had over her last six games. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reese Frauhiger, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Mia Kurtz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Norwell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
Bluffton came out on top against Northfield on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Norsemen an 11-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.
Like Norwell, Bluffton also got a great game from a two-way player: Madyson Sonnigsen. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Sonnigsen has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Isabella Stout was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jillian Phillippe, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Bluffton pushed their record up to 8-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Norwell, their record is now 12-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Norwell hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Bluffton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Norwell was able to grind out a solid victory over Bluffton in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
