Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Panthers vs. Bowdon Red Devils        
        
		
             After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against North Cobb, Chapel Hill was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bowdon Red Devils  a   5-0 shutout. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered  an  11-4  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Not much got past  Alivia Mitchell, who gave up just  four  hits to keep Bowdon off the board. The dominant performance also gave  Mitchell a new career-high in  strikeouts.
 At the plate, Chapel Hill's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Mariah Walker, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Chapel Hill  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most three  strikeouts in four consecutive  matchups.
 Chapel Hill has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record  this season. As for Bowdon,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games  and leaves them with a 16-7 record.
 Chapel Hill will face off against Carrollton at 2:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Carrollton will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something Chapel Hill surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bowdon, they will challenge Darlington at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
