Softball Recap: Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Takes a Loss

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the United South Central Rebels, falling 10-0. The Buccaneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Rebels from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for United South Central, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown will challenge Bethlehem Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Buccaneers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for United South Central, they will face off against Blooming Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
