Basketball Recap: Cajon Comes Up Short

If Cajon was feeling good fresh off their 72-41 takedown of Beaumont last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the Cajon Cowboys and the Santa Monica Vikings didn't end well, with the Cajon Cowboys falling 62-43.

Cajon's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Santa Monica, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Cajon will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Redlands East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Santa Monica, they will be taking part in a tournament against Long Beach Poly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Monica knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Long Beach Poly likes a good challenge.
