Basketball Recap: Wiregrass Ranch Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Wiregrass Ranch won the last time they faced Land O' Lakes, and Kj Smith did his part to make sure it happened again. The Wiregrass Ranch Bulls enjoyed a cozy 90-74 victory over the Land O' Lakes Gators on Friday thanks in part to Smith, who went 9 for 19 on his way to 27 points and eight assists. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 20 games he's played.

Kyden Wiley was another key player, going 6 of 9 en route to 18 points and five rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Land O' Lakes lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacoby Davis, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points and five boards. Davis continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chartric Darby, who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points and five rebounds.

Wiregrass Ranch pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Land O' Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Wiregrass Ranch has already played their next game, a 71-68 victory against Cypress Creek on the 28th. As for Land O' Lakes, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-65 defeat against Wesley Chapel on the 28th.
