Preview: Oakwood vs. Trinity Christian
Oakwood has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Trinity Christian Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Oakwood played against Pacific Grove and lost via forfeit.
Sadly, Trinity Christian is still looking for their first win of the season after 11 matchups. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 8-0 walloping at the hands of York on Thursday. Trinity Christian has not had much luck with York recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Oakwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Trinity Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Everything went Oakwood's way against Trinity Christian when the teams last played back in January as Oakwood made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oakwood since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
