Softball Recap: Wheeler Gets the Win + How To Watch

Wheeler came out on top against Biggersville on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Eagles never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Marli Kate Shockley, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Biggersville off the board. Shockley has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Kate Beckham, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsley Williams, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Wheeler was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
