Basketball Recap: Green Hope Falcons vs. Apex Friendship Patriots
While it was all tied up 22-22 at halftime, Green Hope was not quite Apex Friendship's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell to the Apex Friendship Patriots 62-56. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Loss or not, Green Hope got some senior leadership from Mason Dean and Kody Frey. Dean went 12 for 19 on his way to 29 points, while Frey went 7 of 16 en route to 18 points along with eight boards and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dean has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Carter Emanuelson, who posted four points.
Green Hope now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Apex Friendship, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Hope will face off against Cary at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cary knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Green Hope likes a good challenge. As for Apex Friendship, they will square off against Apex at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
