EJ Newman turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two walks surrendered on Monday. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Scripps Ranch is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-9 otherwise.
