Goodland is 9-1 against Ulysses since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Goodland Cowboys will venture away from home to face off against the Ulysses Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Goodland has five straight wins, Ulysses has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Goodland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Colby by a score of 78-70 on Tuesday. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Eagles are ranked 47th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Ulysses lost to Hugoton at home by a 73-54 margin on Tuesday.

Goodland pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for Ulysses, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Goodland strolled past Ulysses when the teams last played back in January by a score of 62-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Goodland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
