            Softball Recap: Billingsley Bears vs. Maplesville Red Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Billingsley lost against Maplesville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Billingsley Bears fell just short of the Maplesville Red Devils by a score of  12-11.
 Sadie Primm led a balanced group of hitters,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Claire Seamon, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-5.
 Primm wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Billingsley  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. This was only their first loss (out of five games) when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Billingsley has  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record  this season. The  victory made it two in a row for Maplesville and  bumps their season record up to 8-7.
 Coming up, Billingsley will be taking part in a tournament against Trinity Presbyterian  at 11:00  a.m.  on March 29th. Maplesville will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Isabella at 4:30  p.m.  on April 1st.
