Basketball Recap: Reagan's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Reagan had lost three straight headed into Tuesday's matchup, but Kaylee Bindseil didn't let it get to four. The Reagan Rattlers walked away with a 49-39 win over the SA Roosevelt Rough Riders on Tuesday thanks in part to Bindseil, who posted nine points and five steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024.

SA Roosevelt's loss came despite strong showings from Maddie Castillo and Kayani Zackary. Castillo earned 13 points and five rebounds, while Zackary scored ten points. Zackary continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Mary Nguyen also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Reagan's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 16-12. As for SA Roosevelt, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.

Reagan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-24 win against Madison on the 24th. As for SA Roosevelt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 72-16 defeat against Johnson on the 24th.
