Football Recap: St. Michael the Archangel's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

St. Michael the Archangel had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against Father Tolton as they made off with a 53-27 victory. For the Guardians, this counts as revenge for the 29-28 win Father Tolton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

It was another big night for Gage Burgess, who threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 93 yards on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bryon Buster, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

St. Michael the Archangel didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Maximus Thomas and Charlie Miller. Thomas got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

St. Michael the Archangel's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Father Tolton, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-3.

As of now, neither St. Michael the Archangel nor Father Tolton have any future games scheduled.
