Football Game Preview: Redmond Panthers vs. Mountain View Cougars

The Redmond Panthers will square off against the Mountain View Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Redmond is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Two weeks ago, Redmond and Caldera were almost perfectly matched up, but Redmond suffered an 8-7 loss.

Meanwhile, Mountain View got themselves on the board against Caldera on Friday, but Caldera never followed suit. They blew past Caldera 38-0. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five contests by 29 points or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Mountain View and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 13 points in those games. As for Redmond, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Redmond took a serious blow against Mountain View when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 43-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Cougars' Ryder Carpenter, who rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
