Softball Recap: Coahoma's Undefeated Season over After 34 Games

Coahoma and S & S Consolidated squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Coahoma had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 4-2. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Hannah Wells put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Addi Hart was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Coahoma fell to 33-1. As for S & S Consolidated, their record is now 27-2.

While Coahoma had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
