Soccer Recap: Christ Chapel Academy Comes Up Short

Christ Chapel Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Quantico Warriors. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Christ Chapel Academy couldn't quite close it out.

Christ Chapel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Quantico, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6-1.

Christ Chapel Academy and Quantico could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Christ Chapel Academy will challenge Virginia Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (303 vs. 18). Meanwhile, Quantico (ranked 235th) will meet Wakefield School (ranked 94th) at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
