Recap: Chillicothe Cavaliers vs. Jackson Ironman/Ironladies
The Chillicothe Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 60-42 bruising from Jackson. Chillicothe has not had much luck with Jackson recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jackson to victory, but perhaps none more so than T.j. Carpenter, who scored 21 points along with five steals. The matchup was Carpenter's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Davis, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Chillicothe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Jackson, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Chillicothe will finish 2023 at home by hosting Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lancaster is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Jackson will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Minford at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Minford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Jackson is ranked 35th).
