Football Game Preview: Stillwater Warriors vs. Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton Wolverines

The Stillwater Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Stillwater, who comes in off a win.

Stillwater's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-0 victory over Rensselaer/Loudonville Christian. The contest marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season.

Stillwater's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aidan Callanan, who rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 43 yards and three TDs. Those three passing touchdowns gave Callanan a new career-high. Ryan Brown was another key back, rushing for 122 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stillwater was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Stillwater didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Bryce Peterson, Erick Naze, and Callanan picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton fell victim to Cambridge/Salem and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were outmatched by Cambridge/Salem and fell 61-0. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Stillwater, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Stillwater took a serious blow against Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 51-0. Thankfully for the Warriors, Jack Welch (who rushed for 335 yards and four TDs on only nine carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
