District 2 Top Player Performances of the Week

Ethan Lebkisher Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is George C. Marshall's Ethan Lebkisher, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Lebkisher rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns.

For the season, Lebkisher has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 99.2 rushing yards per game.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Finn Luca stepped things up a notch to give Yorktown the 'W'. Centreville had no answer to Luca as he picked up 173 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Luca got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 50 yards.

Yorktown's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Luca will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on McLean on Thursday.

Washington-Liberty Gets a Boost from Louis in 28-18 Victory

Anthony Louis's big game helped extend Washington-Liberty's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Louis as he rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.

Washington-Liberty pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Louis and Washington-Liberty will look to defend their home field on Thursday against George C. Marshall at 7:00 p.m.

Oliver Smith Makes It Two for George C. Marshall

Another George C. Marshall player making an appearance on this list is Oliver Smith. He picked up three sacks, forced a fumble, and made five total tackles. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
