Basketball Recap: Sabine Takes a Loss

Sabine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Jefferson Bulldogs 80-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cardinals have suffered against the Bulldogs since February 10, 2015.

Sabine's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Jefferson, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Sabine Cardinals challenge the Arp Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bullard at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Bullard likes a good challenge.
