Basketball Recap: Herlong Vikings vs. Plumas Charter Warriors
Herlong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 71-54 fall against the Plumas Charter Warriors. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 81-39 back in January.
Plumas Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dalton Bentz out in front who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 20 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bentz has scored at least a third of Plumas Charter's points. Owen Joseph was another key player, going 10 for 20 en route to 22 points.
Herlong's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Plumas Charter, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-4.
Herlong will welcome Elk Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Plumas Charter, they are taking a road trip to face off against Loyalton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
