Volleyball Recap: Amari Randez and Andrea Garcia Secure Win for Alexander

Alexander won the last time they faced Clemens and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs won by a set and slipped past the Buffaloes 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Alexander had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 27-29, 25-12, 25-18.

Alexander was led to victory by Andrea Garcia and Amari Randez. Garcia had 15 digs, while Randez had 17 assists and three digs. That's the most assists Randez has posted over her last five matches. Ava Guerrero also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Alexander's record is now 7-3. As for Clemens, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Coming up, Alexander will take on Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clemens, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Alamo Heights on the 22nd.
