Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Sartell-St. Stephen's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

St. Cloud Tech typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Sartell-St. Stephen proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 3-2. The Sabres have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Sartell-St. Stephen was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 18-25, 23-25, 27-25, 15-9.

Olivia Terhune paced Sartell-St. Stephen's offense, picking up 15 kills. Terhune got some help from Kate Thompson and her 41 assists. Sydney Frieler controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Sartell-St. Stephen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for St. Cloud Tech, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sartell-St. Stephen will venture away from home to take on Sauk Rapids-Rice at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Cloud Tech, they will head out to square off against Royalton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
