Baseball Game Preview: Rutgers Prep Argonauts vs. Warren Hills Regional Blue Streaks

For the second straight game, Rutgers Prep will face off against Warren Hills Regional. The Argonauts will face off against the Blue Streaks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Rutgers Prep has won five straight at home dating back to last season, while Warren Hills Regional won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.

Rutgers Prep was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Warren Hills Regional on Tuesday. The Argonauts were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Blue Streaks. The Argonauts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Maddox Chu, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Alex Perez was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Rutgers Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Warren Hills Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
