Basketball Recap: Muskogee Takes a Loss

Muskogee lost against Union back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Muskogee Roughers came up short against the Union Redhawks, falling 65-40. While losing is never fun, the Roughers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Redhawks are ranked 13th).

This is the second loss in a row for Muskogee and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Union, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.

Coming up, Muskogee will venture away from home to face off against Putnam City West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Union, they will host Bixby at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Union's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while Bixby has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
