Basketball Recap: Davenport West Takes a Loss

Davenport West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 77-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central DeWitt. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Central DeWitt this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-46 back in January.

Davenport West's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Central DeWitt, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Davenport West and Central DeWitt could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. Davenport West will face off against Davenport North at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday down 151 places (222 vs. 71). Similarly, Central DeWitt (ranked 117th) will meet Muscatine (ranked 28th) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
