Softball Recap: Vashon Island Takes a Loss

Vashon Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 21-11 to the Chimacum Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, with their most recent loss being a 23-12 defeat two weeks ago.

Musik Ste Marie was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Zephyr Schildbach was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Vashon Island's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Chimacum, their win ended a 14-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-14.

As of now, neither Vashon Island nor the Cowboys have any future games scheduled.
