Baseball Game Preview: Cigarroa Toros vs. Mission Eagles

For the second straight game, Cigarroa will face off against Mission. The Toros will take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Cigarroa hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Cigarroa fell victim to Mission and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 10-0.

For Mission's part, Damian Salinas was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave Salinas a new career-high. Elian Garcia also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mission kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.

Cigarroa's loss dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Mission, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.
