The Monsignor Donovan Catholic Rams scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They greeted the New Year with with a 79-61 win over Anderson C. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Monsignor Donovan Catholic as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

John W Thompson III was his usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 41 points and ten rebounds. The game was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Huff , who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 rebounds.

Monsignor Donovan Catholic's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7. As for Anderson C, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-6.
