Softball Recap: Carson Comes Up Short

Carson lost against Northwest Cabarrus back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars fell 5-1 to the Trojans.

Carson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leah Troutman, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Carson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-4 loss against West Rowan on the 28th. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they have also already played their next game, a 7-4 defeat against Central Cabarrus on the 28th.
