Football Recap: Glen Cove Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Glen Cove's offense. They were beaten by the Long Beach Marines 41-0 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Big Red can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Marines are ranked 107th).

Glen Cove's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Long Beach, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Glen Cove and Long Beach will both be playing Mepham the next time they take the field. The Marines will head out to face the Pirates on Saturday, while the Big Red will host them on October 4.
