Basketball Preview: Anderson County Mavericks vs. Powell Panthers
After three games on the road, Anderson County is heading back home. They and the Powell Panthers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Anderson County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 434 points over their last six contests.
Anderson County pushed their score all the way to 63 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gibbs.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Powell's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Knoxville Central 59-54.
Anderson County's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8. As for Powell, their loss dropped their record down to 20-3.
