Basketball Game Preview: Portland Raiders vs. Hamady Hawks

The Portland Raiders will take on the Hamady Hawks in a tournament on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Portland comes in on ten and Hamady on 20.

Portland's tournament run continued when they took on St. Johns on Friday. Portland enjoyed a cozy 64-45 victory over St. Johns. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Redwings are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Corunna typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Hamady proved too difficult a challenge. They took down the Cavaliers 49-30.

Hamady pushed their record up to 20-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.5 points on average over those games. As for Portland, their victory bumped their record up to 21-3.
