Basketball Recap: Euclid Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Euclid duked it out withMentor on Friday. The Euclid Panthers were beaten by the Mentor Cardinals 55-12. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost nine in a row.

Nina Rodriguez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mentor, putting up 12 points along with seven boards and five steals. Sophia Stouffer was another key player, earning nine points and seven rebounds.

Euclid's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Mentor, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Euclid has already played their next match (against Strongsville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
