Softball Game Preview: East Troy Trojans vs. Turner Trojans

East Troy hasn't had much luck against Turner recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. East Troy will head out to face off against Turner at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

East Troy is leaving town to face Turner after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Trojans fell 7-3 to Clinton on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Turner kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 8-0 to Jefferson. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered since April 23, 2024.

Turner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Hoenig, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

East Troy couldn't quite get it done against Turner when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 11-8. Can East Troy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
