Softball Recap: Wakefield Snaps 13-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Wakefield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 10-3 to the Gray's Creek Bears on Friday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wolverines, who until this match were averaging 3.92 runs allowed.

Wakefield's defeat ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 21-4. As for Gray's Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-3.

Wakefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gray's Creek, they will challenge Cleveland on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 2, the Rams 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
