Lipan waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Poolville Monarchs 73-13. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Monarchs are ranked 1221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lipan has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Poolville, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-18.

Coincidentally, Lipan and Poolville will both be playing Santo the next time they take the court. Poolville will host Santo at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Lipan will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on January 21st.
