Soccer Game Preview: West Point vs. Brewer

The West Point Warriors will square off against the Brewer Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. West Point will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

If West Point beats Brewer with three goals on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. West Point came out on top against Lawrence County by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Brewer narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Fairview 2-1. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Aggies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Annabel Saare and Riley Carlton scored both of Brewer's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Brewer now has a winning record of 4-3. As for West Point, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-1.

West Point suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Brewer when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can West Point avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
