Softball Recap: Kinston Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kinston's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Ayden - Grifton Chargers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 21-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Kinston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ayden - Grifton, their record now sits at 4-2.

Looking ahead, Ayden - Grifton will be playing in front of their home fans against J.H. Rose at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rampants will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight. Kinston will be paying especially close attention to Ayden - Grifton's contest: after Ayden - Grifton faces off against J.H. Rose, they'll take on Kinston again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
