Basketball Game Preview: Freeport Red Devils vs. Hicksville Comets

The Freeport Red Devils and the Hicksville Comets will compete for holiday cheer at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Freeport is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hempstead just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Freeport's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

As for Hicksville, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished 1-19.

Freeport didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Hicksville when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 53-47 victory. Will Freeport repeat their success, or does Hicksville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
