Softball Recap: Old Fort Comes Up Short

Old Fort is still winless after their contest against Bellevue on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Redmen. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Stockaders have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Autumn Skeels made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Claire Hunker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Old Fort's record now sits at 0-4. As for Bellevue, their record is now 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Old Fort will take on Gibsonburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bellevue, they will face off against Clyde at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
