In other batting news, Eagleton College & Career Academy let Karli Brabson and Lyla Campbell run wild. Brabson scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Campbell scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Campbell has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sara Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Gatlinburg-Pittman lost 20-4 to Alcoa on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Tornadoes: they've now lost nine in a row.
Sadie Moore was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Gatlinburg-Pittman's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8-1.
Thursday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Eagleton College & Career Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .431. However, it's not like Gatlinburg-Pittman struggles in that department as they've averaged .497. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
