Basketball Game Preview: Atlantic Sharks vs. Palm Bay Pirates

The Atlantic Sharks will square off against the Palm Bay Pirates on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Atlantic is headed into Wednesday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vanguard on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (56), the Sharks still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Palm Bay had no problem doing just that on Monday. They secured a 68-64 W over the Mustangs.

Atlantic's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7. As for Palm Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.

Atlantic was taken down by Palm Bay 67-37 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Atlantic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
