Basketball Recap: Pullman Comes Up Short

Pullman was the 67-63 winner over North Central when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Pullman Greyhounds took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Central Wolfpack. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Greyhounds still had to take the loss.

North Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makai Daniels, who posted 29 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Daniels has scored at least a third of North Central's points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Wright, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.

Pullman's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for North Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Pullman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 75-66 victory against Rogers on the 11th. As for North Central, they have also already played their next contest, an 88-62 win against Deer Park on the 8th.
