Baseball Recap: Thomas Stone Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Thomas Stone challenged Patuxent on Monday. The Cougars lost 17-0 to the Panthers. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Thomas Stone's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Patuxent, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Thomas Stone will face off against rival McDonough on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Patuxent is set to challenge their familiar foe Leonardtown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 4, the Raiders 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
