Basketball Game Preview: Trivium Prep Crimson Knights vs. BASIS Phoenix Firebirds

The Trivium Prep Crimson Knights will venture away from home to take on the BASIS Phoenix Firebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Trivium Prep and five for BASIS Phoenix.

Last Tuesday, Trivium Prep was beaten by Mohave Accelerated 71-33.

Meanwhile, BASIS Phoenix took a blow against Scottsdale Christian Academy on Tuesday, falling 65-24. While losing is never fun, the Firebirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Eagles are ranked 127th).

BASIS Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Trivium Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Everything came up roses for Trivium Prep against BASIS Phoenix in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, as the squad secured an 87-17 win. Does Trivium Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will BASIS Phoenix turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
