Valhalla is 8-2 against Grossmont since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Norsemen will be taking part in a tournament against the Foothillers at 9:00 a.m. Neither Valhalla nor Grossmont posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Two weeks ago, Valhalla wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Devyn Mack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on 12 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Valhalla saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Chiaramonte, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Grossmont suffered their biggest loss since March 21st on Thursday. They lost 13-2 to Steele Canyon. The defeat continues a trend for the Foothillers in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Grossmont's loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for Valhalla, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Valhalla took their win against Grossmont in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Norsemen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Foothillers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
