Baseball Game Preview: Hundred Hornets vs. Trinity Christian Warriors

Hundred hasn't had much luck against Trinity Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hornets will take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Hundred has given up an average of 18.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hundred might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 26-1 to Cameron, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tucker County hit Trinity Christian with a four-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors fell 7-3 to the Mountain Lions.

Trinity Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Hutson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Hutson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Trinity Christian now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Hundred, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Hundred might still be hurting after the 20-2 defeat they got from Trinity Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
